Centimetre accuracy, from any correction source
Plot work rewards precision: a 2 m plot placed with a 2 m fix is a guess. Fieldbase speaks NTRIP directly, the protocol behind almost every RTK correction service, so any receiver that accepts corrections can reach centimetre level, and where a free public network exists, that accuracy costs nothing per month.
Register with your network
Free state networks ask for a name and an email address and reply with a caster address, a mountpoint list and credentials. Commercial services send the same details with the invoice.
Enter the caster details once
Address, port, mountpoint, username and password. For network (VRS) services that need your position, Fieldbase uploads it automatically.
Watch the fix improve
The receiver reports its fix type and accuracy in the status bar, and run mode's watchdog holds outputs to the quality you set, so corrections make that bar easier to clear, they never lower it.
More than twenty states run free correction networks
State CORS networks broadcast RTK corrections over NTRIP at no charge, and registration is usually a name and an email address. Fieldbase's NTRIP client connects to any of them, so a low-cost RTK receiver reaches centimetre-level accuracy with no correction subscription at all. States running free networks include, as of September 2026:
Search for your state's name together with "CORS network" or "RTN registration" to find the sign-up page. Commercial NTRIP services work the same way in Fieldbase, wherever a state network does not reach.
